Humanity Complicit In Genocide Of Yazidis
The Islamic Revolution in Iran has intensified the genocide of the Bahá’ís. Such persecution makes me acutely aware of other religious minorities who are persecuted, as is the case with the Yazidi, who are an ethnic and religious minority primarily located in Iraq. “The Yazidis are monotheists believing in God as creator of the world, which he has placed under the care of seven holy beings or angels, the chief of whom is Melek Taus, the Peacock Angel,” according to Wikipedia and verified by other sources.

It was in the oppressively hot August Sinjar sun that an apocalyptic wave of contemporary barbarians engulfed 150,00 defenseless Yazidi civilians in Iraq in 2014. The world took scant action as the barbarian horde known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant descended upon innocent men, women and children and indiscriminately unleashed murder and mayhem.

Her name was Ana Grace. She was 6 years old with curly black hair accentuated by a blue ribbon, beautiful brown eyes, pierced ears and a smile sure to bring joy to any heart. Ana Grace sang while her brother would play the piano. She was loved and cherished by her adoring and loving parents. Ana Grace was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012 ~ a crime the malevolently misguided call the “Sandy Hook Hoax” or “Sandyhoax.”.

A voice of tolerance from Egyptian Islamic cleric
Islamic voices of moderation and inclusion pave the way for more Muslim tolerance of other religions? One such voice is that of Ayatollah Seyyed Hussein Ismail al-Sadr of Egypt. Ayatollah Sadr is one Islamic cleric who sees no benefit in prejudice of and discrimination toward adherents of other faiths.
Why is a religious shrine located on Mount Carmel?
The Shrine of The Báb sits majestically on Mount Carmel’s steep slopes overlooking Haifa. Its nearly 12,000 gilded tiles can be seen for miles. At night, it is a familiar, friendly beacon. Many people may see this majestic shrine but not know why it is on Mount Carmel nor who The Báb was. His given name was Siyyid `Alí Muhammad and He was a merchant from Shiraz, Iran.

The main part of my journalism career has ended, although I occasionally write columns.

My career spanned a variety of jobs that included photojournalist, reporter, managing editor and publisher — at a daily newspaper I co-founded, I was all of those.

After living on the North Coast of California for 40 years, I moved to Silicon Valley where I started a photography business and became known as The Flower Photographer of Silicon Valley.

After 10 years in Cupertino, I moved to Carson City, Nev., where I plan to stay the rest of my life.
